Bio
DJ Mat’s love for music extends from the 60’s to today. He started his DJ career in local radio and community blue light discos and things have come a long way since. He has been DJing for almost 20 years and loves to bring the party.
The DJ is the Producer of an event, bringing together vendors, venues and guests. To Mat the music is the focal point of an event, from cocktail canapé music to sitting down during dinner and rocking the dance floor later on in the night. It’s just as important to see people singing and dancing in their seats as it is jamming on the dance floor later. His music range and knowledge is expansive, and stems from appreciating jive bunny tunes through to bangers of today. Any track with a catchy hook is sure to be on his playlist. Personally he loves anything 80s in the blend. He has impeccable MC skills, learnt through years on live radio.
On the night, Mat uses his experience to help train others to be effective users of the mic. He strives to make each event as personal and as awesome as the last, he’d be thrilled to help out with your next function. Adapting to the latest trends in equipment and lighting keeps Mat at the cutting edge of DJ Hosting!
Mat services the Perth Metro Area, Down South, the Wheatbelt and wherever it may take him!

“The ENVY team provided multiple services for our wedding on the 2nd of October 2021. Adam was great to work with in the lead up to the big day and put together a great package including DJ/MC, Live Artist, LED dancefloor, uplighting and an open air photo booth.
Mat was our DJ/MC for the evening and did an amazing job. He ran the show and made things 100% stress free for us. He played a great set and by the end of the night there wasn't a spare bit of space on the dance floor.
Claudia Tripp played a couple of live sets for our guests and impressed everyone. She is an amazing live singer and I wish we had kept her on for longer!
